Autism Center

Autism Center:

Status: Opening Early 2026

The Tulalip Autism Center offers specialized autism evaluations and comprehensive support for children aged 12 months and older. Evaluations are completed by Dr. Paige Vagle in collaboration with the psychology department. Dr. Vagle offers a distinct advantage to families by serving as both the evaluator and a general pediatrician. This allows for:

  • Continuity of support before and after diagnosis.
  • Seamless connection to therapies and referrals.
  • A strengths-based approach that focuses on the whole child.

The Four-Step Evaluation Process
We believe in taking the time to understand your child. Our evaluation process consists of four separate visits, each lasting approximately one hour:

  • Visit 1: Consultation – An initial meeting to discuss concerns and medical history.
  • Visit 2: Client Intake – Gathering detailed background information.
  • Visit 3: Testing – Standardized observation and interaction.
  • Visit 4: Diagnosis Review – A comprehensive discussion of findings and next steps.

Access to Care

  • Phase 1 (Early 2026): Appointments open to patients currently established in the clinic.
  • Phase 2 (TBD): Expansion to accept outside referrals once current clinic patients have been evaluated.
