Dr. Amparo graduated with a medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. She spent three years as a medical resident at the Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Amparo has been working in addiction medicine for the last 15 years. Prior to that she was in private practice for 23 years, an emergency doctor at Mark Reed Hospital in McCleary, WA, and the Medical Director at the Stillaguamish Clinic. She’s been with Tulalip for over five years and finds it hugely rewarding professionally, and illuminating culturally and spiritually. Her goal is to provide high quality medical care blended with sensitivity to cultures and the dynamics of this ever changing world. Outside of medicine, she enjoys watching movies, karaoke, dancing and driving out of town.
