Margarett Agudelo, Community Health Nurse for Tulalip Health System
  • Name: Margarett Agudelo

Margarett Agudelo,
Community Health Nurse

Margarett Agudelo has been working for Tulalip Tribes for over two years as a Community Health Nurse providing in-home visitations, Caregiving assessments, safety checks, and working on several grant opportunities to provide additional services for the community. Margarett has also been implementing a grief and loss support circle for community members beginning in September 2021. Margarett’s passion for grief work stems from her own experience with dealing with death and those of patients and families she has worked with over the years. Margarett hopes to provide a safe, comfortable place for community members to be held up and supported by others experiencing grief.

Margarett is a Community Health LPN with 25 years of experience in various nursing settings. She began her carrier working several years in community hospitals on medical-surgical wards honing her skills and knowledge. She branched out to long-term care geriatric facilities gaining understanding and passion for the elderly. She was then introduced to in-home pediatric nursing and enjoyed nine years working with several medically fragile infants, toddlers, and young children. Later in her career, Margarett spent four years with county corrections nursing inmates at the county jail in Everett. With her growing experience, Margarett decided to take on a management role. She spent two years as a nurse manager in a Community Health Clinic, where she learned a great deal about effective leadership and refined her “lead by example” style. Margarett saw the opportunity to work with Tulalip tribes in the spring of 2019 and was excited to bring her diverse background and knowledge into a new and challenging role in community health.
