Laurel earned her AD in nursing from Skagit Valley College in 1991 and spent the first 15 years of her career working in hospitals. Later on, she moved into clinical and outpatient settings. Laurel has extensive experience working with medical/oncology patients, diabetic patients, rheumatology patients, ophthalmology patients, and IV therapy. For the past 13 years, she has worked in an outpatient surgery center, focusing mainly on orthopedics and spine care. However, she also cared for patients with podiatry, ENT, and Urology conditions.
Laurel was born in Mt Vernon and raised in Sedro Woolley. She is married with two sons, a stepson and a stepdaughter. Currently, she is a proud grandmother of four. She has lived in Arlington, WA, for 23 years and is fortunate to live close to all her family members. She loves spending quality time with them, especially her grandchildren. During summertime, she enjoys hanging out by the Stillaguamish River, gardening, and exploring the backroads with her husband in their jeep. Laurel is also a member of the Snohomish County APA pool league, along with her two sons, and enjoys playing pool with her family in the evenings.
