Ashley Schmidt is the Community Health Nurse Lead with the Tulalip Tribes. Ashley’s roots are Tsimshian Alaskan Native, Filipino, and Caucasian, and she has spent her life in the Pacific Northwest Coast Salish land. With a passion for health and culture, Ashley received her RN license in 2017 and obtained her Master’s Degree in Community Health Nursing in 2018. She has had the opportunity to work with native communities at the Urban Indian Health Institute, Seattle Indian Health Board, Harborview Medical Center, and Tulalip Tribes. Ashley’s mission as the Community Health Nurse Lead is to guide and assist Tribal Members in achieving their highest goals of prosperity through outreach, health education, and community engagement. Outside of work, Ashley fills her spirit by spending time with her three sons, husband, family and friends.
