AnneCherise Jensen, SNAP-Ed Program Coordinator

AnneCherise (Annie) Jensen has worked with the Tulalip community as the SNAP-Ed Program Coordinator since 2016. AnneCherise graduated from Central Washington University in 2014 with a Bachelors in Food, Science and Nutrition and a Dietetics Specialization. She also has a background in wild foods, foraging, and herbalism and is pursuing a degree in holistic plant medicine. AnneCherise is the stepparent to three Tulalip children and loves spending her free time outdoors, hiking, all while encouraging others to live a happy, healthy life.


AnneCherise runs and oversees the Tulalip Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education (SNAP-Ed). The Tulalip SNAP-Ed program is a federally-funded program by the United States Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service. Tulalip SNAP-Ed's mission is to educate, inspire, organize and influence government policies to create an overall healthier community through nutrition, physical activity, food availability, and disease prevention. AnneCherise teaches nutrition education classes, writes monthly articles for the See-yacht-sub, and hosts Tulalip program events. She collaborates with the Tulalip Community Health Department to create a culturally, vibrant, and healthy community.
